Two months ...
Two months without internet (at least at home ... but you can't really do much when you're in lab at the university). I must say it's been hard and depressing.
Following are some thoughts in regard of how I felt during this period.
From my point of view, I am, as is almost everybody in the developped countries of this planet, a kind of cyborg.
Think about it ... we all, at some point, extend our own human abilities with technology.
Your cellphone is a sixth sense allowing you to instantly communicate with virtually anybody.
In that very same way the internet is an extension of our own knowledge, and when you don't know something, Google does.
Alright, we don't have cybernetic implants [yet], but I think we can agree that we are highly dependant on technology and on the proximity it allows between us.
At least that would explain why I felt like I was missing part of myself for the last two months. :-P
